The Mitkof Middle School wrestlers placed second to Ketchikan last weekend at Regions. Ketchikan had 34 wrestlers competing compared to only 18 for Petersburg, giving them a huge advantage in terms of team scoring. Eight wrestlers qualified for the State Tournament this weekend, including Merrick Nilsen, Brekin Davis, Kole Sperl, Alex Worhatch, Thomas Durkin, Lance Kittams, Ruby Massin and Jolyn Toyomura.
