The final phase of construction for the remodeled Borough Administrative building is construction of the 1,726 sq. ft. sally port at the south end of the building. Demolition of the former police department got underway in March. This week contractors poured the concrete floor slab atop rigid foam boards, which were used to bring the slab up to grade. Borough officials said the foam was used in lieu of gravel fill to lighten the load on foundation structures below the grade. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.
