Ice sequence

A nearly 250-foot tower of ice collapsed in sequence last week at LeConte Glacier. Lower level ice structures give-way first (1), causing the structure to drop into the water (2) before falling forward (3) and creating a ponderous crash and huge wave (4) that spread across the bay.
