There wasn't an oval to fill in or a write-in candidate to name, but voters helped make a decision for a man in the middle of one of the most talked-about issues in Petersburg.

Karl Hagerman withdrew his name from consideration for the electric department's top position, dealing a blow to the borough manager's plan to restructure Power & Light.
