NWS forecaster meets with boat captains

 


Charter boat captains and local agency personnel met Thursday with David Levin, a National Weather Service forecaster from the Juneau office, to share information about which NWS products they use and how they use them.

Participants provided suggestions for new tools or how the existing ones can be improved.

The graphical forecasts are a popular source for marine weather, although users identified challenges finding them on the existing webpage. Station observations are also highly used.
