Public Works employees have been working to repair a leak in a water main in the 1000 block of Sandy Beach Road since Sunday.

Public Works Director Karl Hagerman said employees began looking for leaks in their service lines since water treatment plant production remained at high levels even after cannery water consumption declined as the summer season wound down. The plant was still processing higher volumes of water than normal at the close of the season, Hagerman told the Pilot.
