Senior tax exemption remains following 3rd repeal effort

In the recent municipal election, Proposition 1 failed to pass, which would have replaced the senior sales tax exemption with a rebate for qualified senior citizens and bring an influx of money to the borough’s budget from having additional seniors paying sales tax.
