Summer brought below average rainfall

Accumulated rainfall in Petersburg in inches for each summer month over a four year period.

During the summer months of June through September, the Petersburg area experienced below normal accumulated rainfall for each month and temperatures above the normal temperature range, according to the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Warm days will continue into the winter, but above average rainfall is expected, according to NOAA.
