Although Petersburg is the youngest town in the First Division it has already moved to third place in the Division in the amount of goods imported from the United States, according to the report of the Collector of Customs for the year 1918, which has just been issued. Ketchikan is in the first place. The value of the imports at the place was $3,581,906. Juneau and Thane combined imported $2,881,926 worth of merchandise and Petersburg bought $987,891 worth. Petersburg stands sixth in the entire Territory, Juneau, Ketchikan, Anchorage, Cordova, Seward being the only town...
