The Bank of Petersburg has received the following notice. The increasing practice of importing large quantities of Canadian silver by speculators, which they put into circulation in this city and for which they receive U. S. money, which is taken to Canada and sold at a premium, has reached such an extent that the Clearing House Association has found it necessary to impose a discount of 10 per cent, on all Canadian silver.
