PHS cross country places second in Craig

Both the boys and the girls Petersburg High School cross country teams took second place at their third meet of the season in Craig on Saturday.

Sophomore Uriah Lucas placed second in the meet, finishing with a time of 17:29.03. Junior Maia Cowan place third in the girls race with a time of 21:19.47. The second and third top Vikings on the boys team were Kole Sperl and Michael Durkin who took fifth and seventh place respectively. For the girls team, Kendra Coonrad and Melanie Chase came in behind Cowan in fifth and eighth place.
