Petersburg residents gave back to the community on Oct. 1 during United Way of Southeast Alaska's Day of Caring. Volunteers paired with nonprofit agencies to accomplish big projects that otherwise would not get done without additional help, according to Sabrina Boone, office administrator with United Way of Southeast Alaska.
