Five wrestlers take top four spots in tournament

Kyle Biggers placed second in the 285 weight class in the Bill Weiss tournament last weekend. Wesley Verhamme of Haines came in first place, Hunter Littlefield of Sitka took third and Alex Johnson, also of Sitka, came in fourth place.

Three Petersburg High School wrestlers took second place in their weight class in the Bill Weiss Tournament in Ketchikan last weekend.

Kyle Biggers, Deirdre Toyomura and Ruby Massin took second place in the boys 285, girls 112 and girls 135 weight class respectively. Additionally, Merrick Nilsen placed third in the boys 103 weight class and Adam Ware took fourth place in the boys 189 weight class.

"I'm super happy," said Head Coach Tyler Thain. "Everyone is improving, and that's all you can ask for at this part of the season."
