Wednesday night, the Sons of Norway hosted their 45th annual pickled herring contest. Contestants submitted in four categories: pickled herring, pickled seafood, smoked/cured seafood and smoked salmon. Judges sampled each of the dishes and named first, second and third place winners. Contestants could also submit a dish into the taster's choice category, which was judged by the public.
