Obituary: Dennis William Hopkins, 65

Dennis William Hopkins, 65 passed away in Petersburg, Alaska, on July 23, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Middletown, Ohio and spent most of his youth in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The latter part of his life he spent in Vermont and then, in Alaska where he found that he loved it more than anywhere else; especially Petersburg.

He played hard and he worked hard. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and was proud of the work he did as a "Flooring guy; laying carpet and vinyl. He lived every day with a glimmer of adventure, hope, and love for those around him.

He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, make you laugh, and a beautiful heart; willing to lend a hand whenever he could all the way up to his passing. He loved life and people in general to the fullest.

He is survived by five brothers; one sister; daughter, Linsey; two grandchildren, Audralee and Christian; and long time friend, Tim Whipple who was by his side helping in his final months.

Now, he is off... I imagine escorted by his friend the Eagle to meet up with deceased his mother, best friend, and brother, Paul, and several other important friends.
