A local resident anonymously reported to the Pilot on Wednesday having experienced a gastrointestinal bug that was affecting at least four other people.

The individual said the illness began with severe vomiting, but soon progressed to diarrhea, gas, fever and muscle aches. According to the individual, they had tested negative for COVID-19, but was made aware by Petersburg Medical Center they were likely experiencing a gastrointestinal bug.
