Quorum ordinance passes second reading

The Borough Assembly held a public hearing and had a second reading of Ordinance #2021-13 during Tuesday's meeting which would allow assembly members to be counted for the purposes of a quorum if participating via teleconference.

The ordinance passed in its second reading with a 5-1 vote with Mayor Mark Jensen opposed.

James Whitethorn was the only person to speak at the public hearing. He voiced his disapproval of the ordinance, citing that he believed assembly members should be present for meetings, but said that he agrees with applying the ordinance to the Planning Commission.
