Petersburg is the only place the USCGC Anacapa has called home, and this week, after serving this area for over 32 years, the vessel will depart Petersburg for the last time, heading down to Port Angeles to replace a similar cutter which is being decommissioned. Anacapa is being replace by the 87-foot patrol boat USCGC Pike, which is due to arrive mid-June.
