Karin Bagley, pictured here, displays two of the three pieces of art she created for the recent WAVE survivors art show. Bagley, a domestic violence survivor and resident at Mountain View Manor, is normally all smiles but she's serious when it comes volunteering for WAVE.
As part of the Working Against Violence for Everyone (WAVE) anniversary celebration at the end of last month there was an anonymous art show at the Clausen Museum. This allowed artists to remain unknown, if they preferred, and gave survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence the opportunity to share powerful personal details, if they wanted, alongside their work.
At the encouragement of a WAVE staff member, Karin Bagley submitted three pieces: A Step In The Right Direction, Eye Will Survive, and Spring Forth. Displaying only her name and the title.
