A resolution that would temporarily move assembly meetings from Mondays to Thursdays failed after a 1-5 vote during Monday’s Petersburg Borough Assembly meeting.

Assembly Member Dave Kensinger voted in support and Mayor Mark Jensen was excused.

Resolution #2022-10 would have changed the meeting schedule to the first and third Thursday of each month from July through September.

The request was made by Jensen who will be gillnetting from Sunday through Wednesday of each week during the summer, making him unavailable for Monday meetings.
