Petersburg Search and Rescue found a missing hiker on Sunday off of a U.S. Forest Service road near the South Ferry Terminal after a two-day search according to Fire/EMS/SAR Director Aaron Hankins.

Hankins reported that the Alaska State Troopers received a call about the missing man, who is in his early thirties, around 5 p.m. on Saturday after he did not return from his hike on time, at which point Search and Rescue was activated through SAR Captain Patrick Fowler.
