The Petersburg High School swim team competed in the Sitka Invitational on Oct. 14-15 in what was the team's third meet of the season.

The two-day meet offered the Vikings their last chance to face their local competition before the regional championships.

Freshman Brooklyn Whitethorn finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:15 and fourth in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.

Logan Tow swam the 500-yard freestyle in 5:46, his fastest time of the season, to place second and earned a third place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
