Despite a cold and rainy Saturday morning, many Petersburg residents donned their rain gear to show up for the Circle of Life 5K Run/Walk out Cabin Creek Road. The event is a Petersburg Medical Center Foundation fundraiser that helps fund Beat the Odds' mission to support those affected by cancer. Runners, children on bikes, walkers of all ages, and mothers with little ones in strollers braved the weather to honor friends and neighbors facing cancer, the memory of loved ones lost to cancer, and those inspirational people who beat the odds.
