April 26 – An officer spoke with an individual on South Nordic Drive.

An officer responded to a report of dogs at large on Lumber Street, but could not locate them.

The owner of a vehicle blocking access on North Nordic Drive was contacted and moved their vehicle.

Hunt Parr Sr. was remanded for alleged parole violation.

A driver on Scow Bay Loop Road was issued a warning for speed.

Petersburg Police Department (PPD) received a report of a propane odor on North Nordic Drive. An on-call officer and The Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD) responded and resolved the issue.

April 27 – PPD received a report of a power outage on North 12th Street. Power and Light (P&L) was notified and responded.

An officer spoke with a complainant on South 3rd Street regarding an abandoned vehicle on private property.


An officer assisted a citizen on Howkan Street.

A disabled vehicle on Mitkof Highway will be removed from the area.

An officer responded to a noise complaint on Cornelius Road.

April 28 – PPD received a report of a theft on Haugen Drive.

An officer spoke with an individual on South Nordic Drive about a suspicious vehicle.

A driver on South 3rd Street was issued a warning for an inoperable headlight.

A driver on 8th Street was issued a warning for an inoperable headlight and an expired registration.

April 29 – A driver at Libby Straits was issued a warning for speeding and license requirement.


An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity on South Nordic Drive.

April 26 – An individual spoke with an officer at the PPD regarding a civil issue.

PPD received a report of an injured deer on Excel Street. The Fish and Wildlife Troopers were notified.

A driver on Westley Street was issued a warning for speed.

A driver on South Nordic Drive was issued a warning for speed.

A driver at 8th and Fram Streets was issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.

A driver on South Nordic Drive was issued a warning for an inoperable headlight.

An officer responded to a report of an individual sitting in the middle of the road on Gjoa and 1st Streets, but the individual had departed the area.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Haugen Drive.

April 30 – PPD received a report of suspicious activity on Skylark Way.

A deer struck by a vehicle on Mitkof Highway was unsalvageable.

A report of possible fraud was filed with the PPD.

Officers responded to a report of firewood stolen from a private property on South 2nd Street. The wood was returned.

PPD received a 911 text from Kell Bay reporting a boat sinking. The Coast Guard (USCG) was notified and responded to provide assistance.

PPD assisted a citizen in need.

Evan Ware was issued a citation for speeding.

PPD assisted a citizen in need.

A sex offender registration was completed at PPD.

Officers conducted foot patrols downtown.

May 1 – An officer provided a courtesy transport to a person in need of medical attention.

An officer conducted a welfare check on Skylark Way.

An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity on South Nordic Drive.

Officers and Alaska State Troopers (AST) responded to a burglar alarm on Mitkof Highway and determined it was a false activation.

May 2 – An officer responded to a medical alert activation on North Nordic Drive and found the individual was okay.

An alarm activated at Pump Station #5. Water Wastewater (W/WW) was notified and responded.

A found key was turned in to the PPD.

PPD assisted Emergency Medical Services (EMS) on Haugen Drive.

PPD received a report of property lost near North 1st and Haugen Drive.

PPD received a report of an injured deer on North 8th Street. AST and Wildlife Troopers were notified and responded. The deer was dispatched and salvaged.

A found dog was returned to its owner.

A driver on Mitkof Highway was issued a warning for speed.

A driver at Haugen Drive and North 6th Street was issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.

A driver on North Nordic Drive was issued warnings for speed and failure to provide registration upon request.

An officer spoke with a minor’s parents regarding curfew violations.

A driver at 8th Street and Haugen Drive was issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
