June 1, 1923 – The Petersburg telephone system was cut in on Friday morning and is now working with twenty subscribers already connected up and more to be connected as rapidly as possible. Lilly Larsen is acting as central girl. Service is from eight a.m. to midnight, but within a short time the service will be from 5 in the morning until midnight.
