Ashley Corl conquers Seward's Mount Marathon Race
Runner Ashley Corl climbs her way up Mount Marathon during the 97th Mount Marathon Race on July 4, 2025, in Seward, Alaska. Runners attacked the mountain in 3 waves, and Corl was the first person in her wave of runners, to reach the summit, climbing 3,000+ feet in 55 minutes.
She's been a runner for the majority of her life, finding a deep connection with the activity, always looking for opportunities for the next competition, trail, etc. For Petersburg local Ashley Corl, running is her community. However, Corl went through some difficulties, with doubt stealthily entering her consciousness.
