The Petersburg boys alongside teams from Craig, Metlakatla, Ketchikan, Hydaburg and Klawock ran their 5K at the Metlakatla Invitation under blue skies on Saturday, Sept. 6.
The Petersburg High School Cross Country team continued to surge through the season, with the latest stop being the Metlakatla Invitational this past weekend where the Petersburg girls team finished first overall and the boys team took second.
"The girls, they really do have that chemistry, they all are really close. I really think that has something to do with winning this meet and also working hard in practices," said assistant coach Keely Ware. "All of them push each other and they're always rooting for each other and I think that's really important."
