This year's honorary Christmas tree lighter, Cindy Rodgers, standing alongside her sister-in-law Pia Reilly Rodgers, flips the big lever and bright, colorful light washes over the crowd gathered for the ceremony Friday evening, after the annual Parade of Light put on by the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. Rodgers is a longtime resident of Mountain View Manor, known for brightening up any room she steps into with her cheerful spirit. She is appreciated for her many years volunteering for Petersburg's public radio station, KFSK.
