January 22, 1926 – There is a movement afoot in our town for the erection of a hall for athletics. The need for a hall large enough for all indoor sports has been recognized for many years but there has never been a time when every one was as strongly in favor of it as at this time. The committee which has been ferreting out the costs of such a structure, and the possibility of raising the funds necessary for the material, are of the opinion that the building can be put up at this time.
