The Petersburg Lady Vikings looked to claim their first victory of the season when the Haines Glacier Lady Bears came to town this past weekend.
The Lady Vikings left no doubt in game one as they took a 27-7 halftime lead. After the Glacier Lady Bears scored their seventh point with 5:16 left in the second quarter, they didn't score again until the 2:16 mark in the fourth quarter.
"Any time you hold a high school team to that few points, you have to be happy with the defensive effort," head coach Matt Pawuk said.
