June 25, 1926 – R.P. Savage, prominent Chicago publisher, who arrived Fairbanks recently after a trip down the Yukon, believes Alaska is the scenic wonderland of the world. “Alaskans don’t realize the wonders and vastness they see every day,” said Mr. Savage. “It far surpasses in scenic grandeur Switzerland, which derives a good part of its income from tourism.
