The City of Petersburg lost its redistricting argument that the city’s new voting district is not compact as is required by the Alaska Constitution. Following the 2010 census, the Alaska Redistricting Board amended districts and Petersburg was moved into District 32, which consists of the areas of Juneau, Skagway, Gustavus and Tenakee Springs.
