Obituary: Alesa Rose Williams, 32

Alesa Rose Williams was born in Sitka, Alaska, on March 6, 1994, to Claire and Brian Williams. She was a member of the Killer Whale Clan and of the Wolf moiety. She spent her early childhood in Kake, Alaska, and graduated from Sitka High School.

An accomplished troller, Alesa enjoyed working in the commercial fishery. She was a competent builder and a caregiver who worked in healthcare.

Commercial fishing brought Alesa to Petersburg, Alaska, seven years ago where she planned to build a clean and sober life. She was engaged to marry Brandon Johnson and they hoped to have a baby.

Alesa died on June 23, 2026, at home in Petersburg. To honor her life there will be Forty Days of Celebration before a final dinner and her burial in Kake.

Gone too soon, Alesa will be remembered for her brilliant mind and loving soul.
