Tamico contractors continue work on the harbor's bulkhead project adjacent to the drive down dock on Monday. The bulkhead is created using sheet piles to create an open cell, which is backfilled with rock. The $1.4 million project creates an additional 65-feet of tie-up space to allow vessels to offload gear directly onto shore for storage. September 9, 1916 – Word was received yesterday that S. L. Hogue started from Seattle to Petersburg on Wednesday with a new gasboat. The craft, which is said to be fifty feet or more in length, will handle the increasing business of the Trygve’s run. Conrad Dahl, of Tacoma, is coming north on the new boat as pilot. They came up last spring from Seattle to Ketchikan in their launch Daisy, and a couple of weeks since to Petersburg.
