A handful of local women took part in the 17th Annual Prince of Wales Island Marathon held on May 28. The women participating in the half marathon placed high, including Jo Ann Day. Several readers have queried if our platemaking machine has been repaired. It has been and has allowed us to once again produce aluminum printing plates as of the May 5 edition. We were unable to produce plates after the machine that processes them broke down.
