Mark Anthony Neidiffer

Mark Anthony Neidiffer, 50, died on February 4, 2015 in Petersburg, Alaska.

Mark was born in Calexico, Mexico on October 20, 1964. He was one week old when his parents, Frank and Margie Neidiffer adopted him and brought him to live with them and his four brothers in Holtville, Calif. Later, the family moved to Dixon Calif. where Mark at age 11 began racing BMX bikes. He found he had a talent for riding and won several awards. By the time he was 14 he had graduated to racing motor-cross. He had much success in this sport also and qualified for the Bel Ray Nationals.

When he was still a teenager he moved to Alaska with his father. There he lived and worked in logging camps until he went on his first hand troll trip and he was hooked. By the mid 80's he and his father became partners in the commercial trolling industry. They purchased the F/V Patricia Louise and a power troll permit. Mark continued to fish for the rest of his life.

Courtney Colleen Neidiffer was born to Kim Young and Mark in 1995. Mark and Kim married on July 15, 1996. Mark Anthony Neidiffer II was born in 2000. Mark loved his two kids dearly and often brought them fishing and hunting with him. Mark had a true passion for hunting and provided plenty of deer and moose meat for his family and friends every season.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Frank Neidiffer and his brother David Neidiffer.

He is survived by his daughter Courtney Neidiffer and his son Mark Neidiffer II; mother, Margie Cravens; brothers – Frank, John, Darrel and Jaime Neidiffer; nephews – Justin, Frank and Franklin Neidiffer; niece Alice Neidiffer; sister-in-law Jackie Neidiffer; ex-wife Kim Neidiffer and loving partner Mary Christensen.

A celebration of life potluck will be held at the Moose Club, Sun. Feb. 15 at 3 pm.
