Several Coast Guard personnel will be in Petersburg from May 14-17 to conduct dockside safety exams on commercial fishing vessels. Sign up at the harbormaster’s office. Exams are free, take about an hour and help ensure vessels are being operated safely and legally. Vessels passing their exam will be issued a decal that is good for two years.
